Goscelin joined the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) as a member in 2018 and was promoted to a Fellow in 2024. She chaired the ICS Education Portfolio and stood as Vice-Chair, prior to being elected ICS SA Chairman at the end of 2024.

He has specialized in the dry cargo shipping sector since 2005, gaining extensive experience in agency, marine accounting, operations, chartering, commercial management, and leadership. He currently serves as the Commercial Director for G2 Ocean, leveraging his expertise to drive strategic initiatives and commercial growth.
Simon has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) for many years, reflecting his commitment to upholding the highest standards of excellence and integrity within the industry.

He is the Managing Director of the Linsen Nambi Group of Companies, which has interests in bunker delivery services, liquid bulk and dry bulk transport.
Durand is the youngest-ever South African to be promoted to a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

She has 13 years’ experience within Liner Trades for a large global Shipping Company, with expertise in operations, logistics, depots, reefer marketing, strategic business analytics, and trade coordination.
Elected to ICS membership in November 2023, she serves as an active member of the Management Committee, recently elected Head of Education, and also invigilates Cape Town examinations and tutors students.

He started his career in shipping as a ship’s agent, working with bulk, breakbulk, and LPG vessels, has been Cluster GM for Namibia, South Africa and Mozambique, Operations Director for a Ships Agency company covering six major South African ports, and currently provides consulting services to international and local maritime companies.
Dean was elected to the ICS South Africa Committee and inducted by Controlling Council (London) in 2009, lectures and tutors ICS courses, and in 2023 was elected Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.

He has over 20 years of expertise in maritime safety, compliance, and education. Currently a Senior Marine Surveyor at the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA), he leads safety compliance inspections, marine assurance services, and accreditation of Maritime Education Training Institutions, ensuring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and the ISM Code.
He mentors junior surveyors, conducts STCW Oral Examinations, contributed to the National Cadet Programme at SAIMI, and is involved in policy development, with his current project being the Commercial Fishing Vessel Safety Compliance Audit Project.

He has five years of experience as a Second Mate on capesize bulk carriers, landing crafts, offshore supply ships, and Antarctic research icebreakers. At Grindrod, he oversees vessel operations, coordinates chartering activities, manages vessel employment, ensures operational efficiency, and contributes to the Total LNG project involving over 14 vessels. He also serves as Designated Person Ashore (DPA), Company Security Officer (CSO), and owns Ndaba Marine, a consultancy providing ship survey and audit services.
He is a Tutor for Ship Operations and Shipping Business with the South African branch of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS), assisting students in their professional development.

His 54-year career includes 18 years at sea as Master on general cargo, oil tankers, bulk carriers, and container vessels, and 27 years in shore-based leadership with Gearbulk Shipping and Wilhelmsen Group, holding postings in Stamford, Montreal, London, Jakarta, Vancouver, Shanghai, and Singapore, with project secondments to Sudan, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Chile.
He served on the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) Board from 2017 to 2024 and was awarded Chartered Master Mariner status in 2024, advancing a corruption-free maritime industry.

He has over 15 years of experience in logistics, shipping, and mineral exports and is currently General Manager of Logistics at Tshipi e Ntle Manganese Mining, overseeing an annual budget of R7 billion and managing large-scale mineral export operations, increasing production from zero in 2011 to 3.5 million tonnes currently.
He has led logistics strategies, financial management, supply chain optimization, stakeholder negotiations, and is dedicated to mentoring his team, aligning operational processes with organizational goals, and driving excellence in logistics and shipping.

She has nearly five years of experience in the shipping industry with MACS Maritime Carrier Shipping in Cape Town, including one year in operations training, two years in liner service, and one year in chartering.
She has been actively involved with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) for two years, supporting students, fostering a student community in Cape Town through study groups, meet-ups, and networking events, while pursuing her passion for sailing and volunteering with sea rescue.

He is the Group Sales Director at Alpha Shipping South Africa, with a career spanning roles in retail, hospitality, coaching, and logistics, including positions as a parcel clerk, paint mixer, video store assistant, bartender, waiter, driver, call center operator, restaurant manager, and motorbike trader before entering shipping and logistics.
Byron has risen from humble beginnings, guided by self-motivation, resilience, and support from key figures in his life, establishing himself as a dedicated leader in shipping and logistics.

She has over six years’ experience providing marine assurance for refined petroleum products at the Durban import terminal, including SBM scheduling for crude vessels and engagement with port authorities and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient marine operations.
Dionne is a passionate advocate for continuous learning, serving as a student representative and tutor for Economics of Sea Transport & Trade and Port & Terminal Management, supporting and guiding aspiring maritime professionals.
