We had a healthy mix of Fellows, Members, Guests and students attend where prizes were handed out to our students who achieved the highest marks in their particular subject.

The twelve prizes were sponsored as always by our generous sponsors in the shipping and legal industry. 

Our guest of honour and guest speaker was Durand Naidoo (M.I.C.S.), Managing Director of Linsen Nambi Bunkers who attended with his co-directors Thuso Mhlambi and Vanessa Naidoo. Durand spoke of his journey from university to shipping clerk and to becoming co-owner, with Thuso, of the first black-owned ship-owning company in South Africa. 

It was an interesting talk providing motivation to our students on what can be accomplished if you have a dream and stay focused.
